Early Legal Documents

These are some very early local documents that I bought from a dealer of antiques from Kamoka Ontario. Apparently the documents were bought at an estate/garage sale near Cairo and Alvinston many years ago. I have many more that I will post here.

This one is my favorite. A person named  William Proudfoot wronged a woman named Ann Stow in some way and as a punishment the Sheriff gave Ann his property. This is a document dated ca.1865.

This is a Deed where the famous Sarnian Malcolm Cameron is buying 100  acres of land ca.1855 in Sarnia.
